The famous Ultima Frontiera estate, an exclusive property in the extreme north of Danube Delta, a wild and remote place ad hoc developed for nature tourism.

The newly constructed lodge boasts large rooms, all with their own en suite facilities, and grounds extend to over 2,500 acres of fish ponds, reedbeds, riverine forest and salt steppe.

On the property there are more than 30 photo hides that are available for our use.

Over 130 bird species will be present when we visit in May/June August and September but you may want to choose which you wish to photograph, as these hides will provide you with some great photographic opportunities for many exciting species.

The spring tour will give you the chance to see some nesting birds, with European Rollers laying their eggs and European Bee-eaters starting to excavate their burrows, while European Hoopoes will already be feeding their youngsters. The autumn tour see large numbers of Pygmy Cormorants, waders, egrets, herons, pelicans and terns passing through.

On all tours we shall also make use of their photographic boat, kitted out as a floating hide and we can hope to take photos of Dalmatian and White Pelicans, Whiskered Tern, Ferruginous Duck and both Black-necked and Red-necked Grebes.

There will also be a range of other species to be seen ,such as Pallas's Gull, Bearded Reedling, Penduline Tit and a great variety of ducks, herons, egrets and waders.

Mammals you may see include Golden Jackal, Muskrat, Otter and Danube Delta Horse (one of the four wild horses of Europe).
