A tour located on the Upper Adriatic region, touching the best habitats for wintering of birds during the cold season.
The Po delta, valle Vecchia, valle Cavanata, mouth of Isonzo and Skocjanski Zatok hold every flocks of wintering geese steadily increasing: not only thousands of common Greylag and White-fronted Geese, but also Red-breasted and Lesser White-fronted Goose are becoming year by year more regular.

The environmental restoration of valle Vecchia, mouth of Isonzo and Skocjanski Zatok are plenty of ducks, geese and Lapwings, while we will have a look on the wide reed beds to watch interesting species as Bittern, Moustached Warbler, Bearded Reedling and Penduline Tit.
We will transfer then to the Slovenia mountains, where hundreds of kilometers square of virgin forests still hold the majority of the European big mammals ,from Red Deer to Brown Bear, to Golden Jackal, to Grey Wolf, to Lynx.
We will encounter a large number of forest and mountain species, while we will do targeted researches to locate woodpeckers and owls, particularly Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Black Woodpecker, Grey-headed Woodpecker and Ural Owl.
Raptors are not rare in these areas and we will have the possibility to see Golden and White-tailed Eagle, Goshawk, Sparrowhawk, Peregrine Falcon and Merlin.
