Another NEW itinerary for 2019!

Guatemala is the northern most country of the Central American Isthmus and it is a wonderful birding destination.

The country is a gorgeous and friendly nation.

The Mayan culture is vibrant and alive; plenty of Mayan history and handicrafts will be seen.

The territory is divided in seven major ecosystems, from pine-oak forests to tropical lowland forest and cloud forests on the slopes of volcanoes.

Travel between any two ecosystems is very easy, with distances relatively short.

Lodging is in the reserves or hotels (lodges) that are in the reserves.

Highlights of birds for this tour are: Ocellated Turkey, Oran- ge-breasted Falcon, all five Kingfishers (Amazon, Green, Belted, Ringed and Pygmy), a host of hummingbirds, Agami Heron, Pink-headed Warbler, Azure-rumped Tanager to name just a few birds.

There are more than 700 species that can be found in Guatemala, and we will also have a chance to see the mysterious and mythical Horned Guan
