Hokkaido Expedition
JAPAN PHOTO TOUR
This northernmost of Japan's main islands is also the harshest, coldest, and least settled. Its vast primeval forests covers 70 percent of the island but each area of the island offers a different scene: huge plains, clear lakes, smoking volcanoes with fresh hot springs, and rare animals in their natural habitats.
Hokkaido in winter gives its best and it is truly stunning. Especially for nature photographers.
Our tour focuses on the target species of this remote land: Red-crowned Cranes, Steller's Sea Eagle, Whooper Swan and Blakinston Fish Owl but we will travel covering a large surface of the island visiting mountains ,snow-clad fields, clear volcanic lakes, coastal areas and all this will produce the possibility to see and photograph many other species.
The fauna of this beautiful island will be our main target but it will be a real pleasure to enjoy and photograph the stunning landscapes it can offer.
NOTE: there is the possibility to do an extension dedicated to wildlife photography (joining the JAPAN PHOTO tour - see the related webpage) to get the best out of this Japanese experience! Ask us info about these tours connection!
